Massachusets Government Act:This act was designed to punish the inhabitants of Boston for the Boston Tea Party. The act destroyed the elected populary council members and replaced them with a 12 to 36 member council appointed by the king. The Administration of Justice:The Administration of Justice Act, passed on May 20, 1774, authorized the governor of Massachusetts to move trials of royal officials accused of committing capital offenses, while performing their official duties, to another colony or to Great Britain Quartering Act:This act passed in 1765, had 2-5 British officers stay in the colonists houses. The Colonists were required to give them a place to sleep and feed them. |
