The Battle of Bunker Hill was one of the most crucial battles in the American Revolution. It showed as an example that Militia can stand up to the British Army through tactics. The Colonial Army had positioned themselves at the top of the hill, forcing the RedCoats to charge up the hill. This was, as it turned out, a very effective tactic for musket battles. The British lost over a 1,000 troops, with many of them being officers, while the Colonial Army lost just under half that many. The Colonial Army retreated because they ran out of ammo, but they still did great damage to the British and survived to fight more Battles. The battle of Bunker Hill wasn't just a victory tactically, but also a major victory for the Colonial Army's moral.
